Clariton Networks is backed by a group of Israeli Venture Capital funds.
The major investors are Yozma and Docor
Yozma has earned worldwide recognition as the creator of the Israeli venture
capital industry. Yozma makes equity investments in technology companies
engaged in fields where Israel has demonstrated world leadership. The Group
targets high-growth companies in the sectors of Communications, Information
Technologies and Life Sciences. Since inception the Group has managed more than
$170 million in its two funds: Yozma I and Yozma II and has made direct
investments in more than 40 portfolio companies. The Group helped a significant
number of its portfolio companies go public on major stock exchanges in the US
and Europe. In addition, the Group was instrumental in positioning its
portfolio companies for acquisition or an investment by leading corporations
such as Agilent, America On Line, Cisco, Computer Associates, ECI Telecom,
Enron, General Instruments, Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, Microsoft, Sequoia
Capital and Terayon.
Docor was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Van Leer Group Foundation
to promote and participate in commercial activities in Israel. Currently, these
activities include partnerships in two Israeli venture capital companies,
Inventech and Gemini, and direct investments in twelve companies. Docor's
vision is to be a socially responsible investor. Docor has two main objectives:
(1) To contribute to the welfare of the Israeli economy and society by
investing in companies that have activities in Israel or are based on high
technology developed in Israel. (2) To create worldwide added value by
investing in globally oriented companies that have innovative technologies
targeted at growing markets and the needs of future industries. Docor's
strategy is to become actively involved in the management of the companies in
which it invests. While investing in young companies with post-seed technology
that is nearly proven, Docor provides an international business network and
leverages investments. While staying involved with the companies through their
initial stages of growth, Docor provides skilled management support and models
professional business conduct.
