Clariton developed and markets a family of products which are designed to turn
the installation of an in-building coverage solution from a costly and time
consuming effort into a fast, easy, flexible and cost effective procedure.
Clariton’s philosophy and technical concept is to use an existing
infrastructure to deliver the cellular signal throughout the venue. Clariton’s
products use existing HFC, TV coax or FTTH infrastructure to provide an
end-to-end solution that enables operators to provide indoor cellular services
(voice and data) at significantly higher quality than available today but at a
much lower cost (both capital and operating) than current alternatives.
Clariton’s products use existing infrastructure to carry cellular signals
generated by a base station or repeater in their original RF form throughout
the indoor environment. No modification or translation of the original cellular
signal is required and therefore all existing operator and user equipment
remains unchanged. The customer uses his regular handset but the user
experience is greatly enhanced.
All infrastructure options share a trunk and branches (point to multipoint)
architecture. A signal is distributed from a central place to outlets in the
periphery. Clariton’s equipment compensates on all loses incurred by the
transmission infrastructure. At the outlets a cellular access point is
connected re-transmitting the original cellular signal.
Clariton’s products cater to a wide variety of applications and
infrastructures, such as residential over HFC/FTTH or hotels, hospitals and
office buildings over coax TV.
Main benefits:
-
Low capital cost – based on existing infrastructure
-
Low installation cost – no infrastructure to roll out and CPE equipment can be
a self install
-
Fast and flexible process - just enable the infrastructure and connect to ready
made outlets
-
Multiple operator, multiple technologies – support several operators using
different spectrum bands and cellular technologies (GSM, UMTS, HSDPA, CDMA,
iDEN)
